Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-28
This policy explains how yttranscription.com handles information when you use the free transcript tool. Visitors do not need an account.
Information processed
When you submit a YouTube URL, we process the URL and available transcript text. AI features send transcript text and your prompt for processing. We use IP addresses to enforce rate limits and maintain server logs for security and operation. The browser stores recent videos in localStorage so you can return to them.
Service providers
We obtain transcripts from YouTube and, when needed, Supadata. AI requests may be processed by OpenRouter and NVIDIA. Their own privacy policies govern data they receive.
Advertising and analytics
Google AdSense helps fund this free service. Google and other third-party vendors and ad networks may use cookies, including DoubleClick cookies, to show ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can control personalized ads in Google Ad Settings or opt out through About Ads. Read how Google uses information from partner sites.
We also use the Meta Pixel to measure page views and contact events. Meta may receive browser information under its privacy policy.
Retention and rights
Transcripts and AI results may be cached in server memory briefly to operate the tool; we do not permanently store them as user accounts. Server logs, provider records, and advertising cookies may have separate retention periods. You can clear recent videos through your browser's site storage controls.
This service is not directed to children under 13. If you live in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of personal information under applicable law. Contact us at [email protected] to make a request. We may update this policy and will post a new date here.
